Job summary

TGI Fridays is seeking a friendly Server in Ballenger Creek, MD to welcome Guests and deliver a memorable dining experience. You will greet Guests, learn the menu, and tailor service to each guest’s preferences.

Strong communication and upselling skills help maximize guest satisfaction and sales. Responsibilities include accurately taking orders, ringing them into the POS, and staying attentive during busy periods.

Qualifications

• Must be able to deliver plates and clear tables.
• Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs.
• Must be able to hear well amongst loud background noise.
• Must be dressed neatly and well groomed in company approved uniform at all times.
• Must be able to operate POS system, make change correctly and make credit card transactions accurately.
• Must be able to calmly respond to angry Guests and notify a Manager.
• Must be able to read menus to sight-impaired Guests.
• Must be able to read and write notes to hearing impaired Guests.
• Must be able to verbalize menu items clearly to Guests while taking their orders.
• Must be able to stand and walk during entire shift.
• Must be able to reach, bend, stoop and wipe counters/tables.

Responsibilities

• Greets Guests with a genuine smile, builds rapport, and ensures a quality dining experience.
• Looks for cues to identify the guest experience and customizes service accordingly.
• Promptly and accurately takes food and beverage requests from Guests.
• Ensures expedient service of food and beverages to the Guest.
• Frequently checks up on Guests and provides silent service as appropriate.
• Learns TGIF menu and beverages and recommends items to Guests.
• ID all Guests ordering alcoholic beverages who appear to be 40 or younger.
• Follows Fridays Service Style Standards.
• Accurately rings orders into the POS system while engaging with Guests.
• Uses current promotions to support conversational ordering.
