Job summary

Grand Sierra Resort in Reno, NV is seeking an energetic Server to take beverage and food orders, input them into the POS, and deliver meals with attentive guest service. You will memorize the menu, upsell dishes and beverages, and maintain table settings throughout shifts.

Candidates must have restaurant experience, be able to work flexible shifts including nights, holidays, and weekends, and hold an Alcohol Awareness Card. Teamwork and clear communication are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Restaurant server experience is required.
• Alcohol Awareness Card must be obtained.
• Must be 21 years of age and able to work nights, holidays and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Take beverage and food orders from restaurant guests and input orders into POS system.
• Deliver orders following required standards for the position.
• Prepare tableside items and anticipate guest needs.
• Complete side work: wipe stations, restock supplies, polish silverware, buff glasses, set up service carts.
• Explain menu to guests and answer questions; memorize specials for upselling.
• Ensure high quality food and service with attentive guest care.
• Maintain timely table upkeep for an inviting dining experience.
• Assist busser/runner with setup and tasks; support during events.
