Job summary

TGI Fridays is seeking a personable Server to warmly greet Guests, take orders, and deliver a memorable dining experience. You will learn the menu, anticipate Guests’ needs, and upsell promotions while maintaining Fridays’ service standards.

Responsibilities include accurate order entry, timely service, frequent guest checks, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment. A strong emphasis on hospitality, accuracy, and guest satisfaction is essential.

Qualifications

• Must be able to deliver plates and food and clear tables.
• Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs.
• Must be able to hear well amongst loud background noise.
• Must be dressed neatly and well groomed in company approved uniform at all times.
• Must be able to operate POS system, make change correctly and make credit card transactions accurately.
• Must be able to calmly respond to angry Guests and notify a Manager.
• Must be able to read and write notes to hearing impaired Guests.
• Must be able to read menus to sight-impaired Guests.
• Must be able to verbalize menu items clearly to Guests while taking their orders or responding to their requests.
• Must be able to stand and walk during entire shift.
• Must be able to reach, bend, stoop and wipe counters/tables.

Responsibilities

• Greets Guests with a genuine smile and builds rapport.
• Identifies guest preferences and customizes service accordingly.
• Takes food and beverage orders promptly and accurately.
• Ensures expedient service of food and beverages.
• Checks on Guests and provides attentive service as needed.
• Learns TGIF menu and beverages and recommends items.
• Rings orders accurately into POS and interacts with Guests.
• Shares promotional features during service.
