Job summary

American Girl, a premium brand and subsidiary of Mattel, is seeking a Restaurant Server at our Bistro location. You will deliver food and beverages and create an outstanding dining experience for guests.

The role requires greeting guests, knowledge of menu items, upselling, handling requests, and complying with safety guidelines. Flexible schedule including nights and weekends; ServSafe certification preferred; 1–2 years high-volume dining; experience with children; and comfort with restaurant

Qualifications

• Growth mindset with curiosity and willingness to learn.
• ServSafe certification, preferred.
• One to two years of experience in a high volume and/or fine dining restaurant preferred.
• Banquet or catering experience is a plus.
• Experience working with children preferred.
• Ease of use with restaurant computer systems preferred.
• Physically demanding position: ability to lift up to 50 lbs and carry a serving tray.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers upon arrival and inform guests of food and beverage options.
• Demonstrate knowledge of menu items and ingredients; assist guests with allergies.
• Address customer concerns and special requests in a professional and timely manner.
• Execute food and beverage service steps efficiently, including upselling and timely delivery; process checks via POS.
• Follow food safety and workplace sanitation guidelines.
• Support restaurant team with parties, storewide events, and projects.
