Job summary

Mattel's American Girl Retail Chicago location is seeking a server to deliver food and beverages and create an outstanding dining experience for guests. The role reports to the Assistant Cafe Manager and requires delivering high-quality service in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications include ServSafe preferred, 1–2 years in high-volume or fine dining settings, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. A flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays is expected.

Qualifications

• ServSafe certification preferred.
• 1–2 years of experience in a high-volume and/or fine dining restaurant.
• Banquet or catering experience is a plus.
• Experience working with children preferred.
• Able to operate restaurant computer systems.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and inform them of menu options; share store events.
• Know menu items and ingredients; advise on allergies.
• Address customer concerns professionally and promptly.
• Handle service: upsell, deliver food and drinks, manage tables, process checks in POS.
• Follow safety guidelines and health sanitation laws.
• Support team with events and storewide projects.
