Job summary

Mattel’s American Girl Retail cafe in Chicago seeks a Server to deliver food and drinks and provide an outstanding dining experience. You will greet guests, explain menu options, and upsell while maintaining tables and handling checks in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires 1–2 years in a high-volume restaurant, ServSafe preferred, and ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays is needed.

Qualifications

• ServSafe certification preferred.
• 1–2 years in a high-volume or fine-dining restaurant.
• Banquet or catering experience is a plus.
• Experience working with children preferred.
• Experience with restaurant computer systems (POS).
• Must be able to carry a serving tray and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and inform them of menu options and events.
• Know menu items and ingredients; suggest items for allergies.
• Address customer concerns professionally and promptly.
• Deliver food and beverages; upsell and manage table checks.
• Follow safety guidelines and health regulations.
• Support restaurant team during events and parties.
