Job summary

Meijer is seeking a capable Asset Protection team member to deter theft and uphold safety within our Grand Rapids area stores. The role involves engaging with customers, responding to alerts, and applying de-escalation techniques to prevent incidents.

You will work in a fast-paced retail environment, coordinating with store leadership to maintain safe operations and protect merchandise. Qualified candidates will have a High school diploma, 1-2 years in customer service or asset protection, and

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
1-2 years customer service or asset protection experience.
Clear and professional written and oral communication.
Ability to move throughout work area for long periods.
Ability to learn and use technology solutions.

Responsibilities

Actively identify and quickly resolve unsafe conditions and situations
Prevent theft through an active presence and engagement with customers
Respond to alerts urgently to check receipts, recover unpaid merchandise, and resolve alarms
Reduce store disruption using de-escalation techniques
Document and communicate incidents
