Job summary

Meijer Inc. seeks an Asset Protection Associate to deter theft and protect customers and team members. You will engage customers at entryways and throughout the store, validate receipts, and act quickly to resolve incidents while maintaining safety and a professional demeanor.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and 1–2 years in customer service or asset protection. Strong communication and tech-friendly skills are essential to documenting events and using store systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1–2 years of customer service or asset protection experience.
• Clear and professional written and oral communication.
• Ability to move throughout the work area for long periods.
• Ability to respond to alerts quickly and urgently.
• Ability to learn and interact with store technology to document incidents.
• Knowledge of negotiation and de-escalation techniques.
• Ability to identify product locations to direct customers.

Responsibilities

• Provide a professional presence at front entryways to deter theft.
• Engage with customers entering and exiting the store.
• Respond to alerts urgently to check receipts and recover unpaid merchandise.
• Maintain safety by addressing and resolving safety concerns.
• Document and communicate theft, safety, and alarm incidents.
