Job summary

Meijer seeks an Asset Protection professional to help ensure a safe, secure, and welcoming store environment. You will patrol, respond to alarms, review incidents, and protect merchandise while supporting team members and customers.

The role requires a high school diploma, 1–2 years in customer service or asset protection, and strong communication and de-escalation skills. This is a hands-on, in-store position with potential career development at Meijer.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of customer service or asset protection experience recommended.
• Clear and professional written and oral communication skills required.
• Ability to move throughout the work area for long periods.
• Ability to respond to alerts quickly and urgently.
• Ability to learn and use new technology solutions.
• Ability to document incidents electronically.
• Ability to apply negotiation and de-escalation techniques.

Responsibilities

• Actively identify and resolve unsafe conditions.
• Prevent theft through active presence and engagement with customers.
• Respond to alerts to check receipts and recover unpaid merchandise.
• De-escalate situations and minimize store disruption.
• Document and communicate theft, safety, and alarm incidents.
