Meijer Inc. is seeking an Asset Protection Team Member in Michigan to help safeguard customers and associates while reducing loss. You will visually inspect exterior areas, perform backroom and sales floor checks, and review reports to identify potential theft or safety hazards.

You will document incidents thoroughly, participate in theft investigations, and may testify in court as required, all within a safety-focused environment that supports development and advancement.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Minimum of 6 months experience in security or at least 1 year of work experience.

Responsibilities

• Visually inspects building exterior/parking lot to mitigate hazards.
• Conducts walking inspections of backroom and sales floor.
• Reviews cashier exception reports.
• Conducts internal theft surveillance.
• Reviews theft activity reports and follows up as necessary.
• Participates in apprehension of violators and assists in prosecution.
• Engages in documentation and report writing for litigation history.
• Testifies in criminal or civil court proceedings.
