Job summary

Comfort Suites in Virginia is seeking friendly Front Desk Agents for the 2nd shift (3:00 PM–11:00 PM) and Overnight shift (11:00 PM–7:00 AM). You will welcome guests, check in and out efficiently, handle reservations, payments, and inquiries, and maintain accurate records in the hotel software while coordinating with housekeeping and maintenance.

Weekend and holiday availability is required; training is provided, and opportunities for growth and advancement exist within a friendly, team‑oriented

Qualifications

• Friendly, professional, and guest-focused.
• Reliable with excellent attendance.
• Organized and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable using computers and learning hotel software.
• Able to work independently while maintaining attention to detail.
• A team player with a positive attitude.
• Willing to work weekends, holidays, and scheduled shifts.
• Previous hotel experience is preferred, but not required. We are happy to train the right candidate with strong customer service skills and a willingness to learn!

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests with a friendly and professional attitude.
• Check guests in and out quickly and accurately.
• Answer incoming phone calls and assist with reservations and guest inquiries.
• Process room reservations, payments, deposits, and refunds.
• Verify guest identification and payment methods.
• Maintain accurate guest records using the hotel's property management system.
• Respond promptly and professionally to guest concerns and requests.
• Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance to ensure rooms are ready for arriving guests.
• Balance cash drawers and complete shift reports.
• Keep the front desk, lobby, and work area clean, organized, and guest-ready.
• Follow all hotel policies, procedures, and brand standards.
• Complete the Night Audit process.
• Prepare daily reports and paperwork.
• Balance hotel revenue and transactions.
• Monitor hotel security throughout the night.
• Assist late-night arrivals and early-morning departures.
• Prepare the breakfast area for the morning team when needed.
