Job summary

Busch’s Canton is hiring a Front End Manager to lead daily operations at our Canton, MI location. You will oversee the front end team, ensure guest satisfaction, and act as PIC in the store manager’s absence.

This role emphasizes hospitality, teamwork, and efficiency in a busy grocery setting. Join our family-owned Michigan team and help maintain service standards, train staff, schedule shifts, and ensure accuracy at the registers.

Qualifications

• Previous management experience in a retail environment.
• Proficient management and leadership skills.
• Proficient organization and planning skills, especially to manage multiple deadlines and projects.
• Proficient communication and interpersonal skills, including written, verbal and listening skills.

Responsibilities

• Execute and maintain front end operations and service counter.
• Assist guests with questions, purchases and special orders.
• Maintain weekly schedule for front end associates.
• Ensure cashier accuracy and productivity through audits and lane accountability.
• Ensure compliance on WIC, EBT, alcohol and tobacco purchases.
• Act as person in charge (PIC) in absence of store manager.
• Interview and hire front end associates.
• Train and develop front end associates.
• Operate register and bag guest orders.
• Provide strong hospitality leadership to guests.
• Lead and guide direct reports.
• Share information and recommendations to improve operations.
• Coordinate with other Busch’s departments.
• Adhere to Busch’s policies and procedures.
• Maintain professional knowledge through training and industry resources.
• Build relationships with guests, vendors and associates.
