Job summary

Cohn Restaurant Group is seeking a Restaurant Manager to assist the General Manager in delivering quality service, maintaining budgeted guidelines, and upholding CRG policies while training staff.

This hands-on, on-floor leadership role requires managing high-volume service, controlling costs, supervising HR tasks, payroll, inventory, and guest satisfaction to create an exceptional dining experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years of full-service, high-volume restaurant experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word/Excel and POS/back-office systems; basic accounting knowledge.
• ServSafe certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure staffing matches projected volume and set up restaurant on time.
• Greet staff on arrival and prepare the restaurant for guests.
• Be on the floor during service to ensure efficient service and guest satisfaction.
• Respond promptly to guest requests in a polite, professional manner.
• Limit and resolve issues related to guest service and staff performance.
• Assist with guest checks and payments using the POS system.
• Oversee safety, inventory, and interdepartmental communications.
