Job summary

Applegreen (US) Welcome Centers is seeking a Shift Supervisor to lead shifts, ensure exceptional customer service, and uphold brand standards. You will train new team members and monitor cash handling while maintaining food safety requirements across the plaza.

The role requires standing for extended periods, flexible scheduling including nights and weekends, and strong communication with customers and staff.

Qualifications

• Cash handling and customer service experience required.
• Shift supervisor or leadership experience preferred.
• Demonstrates the ability to interact with the public and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic, and outgoing manner.

Responsibilities

• Lead the activities of team members on shift.
• Provide friendly customer service and resolve customer concerns.
• Complete opening, daily and closing procedures and checklists.
• Operate POS system, process payments, and follow cash handling policies.
• Ensure proper food handling: wrapping, labeling, dating, stocking, storing, rotating, and checking temperatures.
• Perform kitchen tasks: prepping, thawing, cooking, packaging, wrapping, and cleaning.
• Stock, clean, and sanitize workstation and equipment.
• Cross-sell and up-sell products to customers.
• Maintain product knowledge of plaza offerings.
• Assist in training new team members.
• Follow brand standards, food safety requirements, and company policies.
• Inform plaza leadership of concerns or problems observed.
