Job summary

PCH Hotels And Resorts, Inc. is seeking a friendly Host to welcome guests and ensure a positive dining experience. You will greet guests, manage reservations, and assist with special services, while maintaining etiquette and dish knowledge.

You will set up the dining area, stay at the door to guide guests to tables, and participate in side work to support smooth service. Flexibility to assist as needed ensures a seamless guest experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide a positive first impression.
• Attend daily menu classes to stay updated on menu offerings and be knowledgeable about dishes.
• Review buffet options with guests when available and offer helpful suggestions.
• Set up the dining area, ensuring it is clean and ready for guest service.
• Remain at the door to warmly welcome and direct guests to their tables and seating preferences.
• Manage dining reservations efficiently, providing accurate information on availability and wait times.
• Assist guests with special service or arrangements to enhance their dining experience.
• Demonstrate proper etiquette when interacting with guests, e.g., pulling out chairs and using guests' names when known.
• Attend to guests' needs during dining, address concerns or complaints promptly.
• Clear and reset tables to expedite turnover during busy periods.
• Complete assigned side work to maintain cleanliness and efficiency of the dining area.
• Be flexible to assist in other positions as needed to support the team.
