Job summary

Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Ottawa is seeking a Host to be the first touchpoint for guests, greeting, seating and paging patrons with a warm, professional style. The role involves welcoming guests at the front door, serving as a guide and entertainer at heart, and ensuring a positive first impression.

You will open doors, maintain a clean waiting area, assist servers and managers, answer questions, and strive to create memorable experiences that leave guests with a lasting positive impression.

Responsibilities

• Opening doors, where applicable
• Welcoming and thanking guests
• Answering questions - accurately and politely
• Maintaining a clean and organized waiting area
• Answering the phone
• Directing guests to areas & restrooms
• Providing security for co-workers, guests and celebrities
• Assisting servers, bussers and managers
• Performing opening, closing & side duties – cleaning glass, polishing brass, sweeping & vacuuming the floor, wiping menus, restroom maintenance, etc.
• Assuring the complete satisfaction of each and every guest
• Creating memorable experiences
• Entertaining guests to create "Raving fans"
