IHG Hotels in California is seeking a Front Desk Agent to warmly welcome guests and ensure a smooth, memorable stay. You will acknowledge rewards members, manage bookings, handle transactions, and check guests in and out with IDs and keys.

You’ll record preferences, respond to requests, and be a trusted local ambassador. Strong communication, problem-solving, and basic tech skills are essential, with flexible night/weekend/holiday shifts.

Qualifications

• Friendly, guest-focused communication and warm demeanor.
• Problem-solving skills to turn issues into opportunities.
• Fluency in the local language; extra languages a plus.
• Basic math, reading, writing and computer skills.
• Flexible with night, weekend and holiday shifts.
• High school diploma; college degree a bonus.
• Experience in front desk or guest service (1 year preferred).
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and provide a warm welcome.
• Acknowledge IHG Rewards Club members and returning guests.
• Manage bookings and upsell opportunities.
• Handle cash and credit transactions.
• Check guests in and out with IDs, keys, and safes.
• Record guest preferences and respond to requests and concerns.
• Be a trusted contact for guests and assist with local knowledge.
• Follow safety procedures and report incidents.
