Job summary

InterContinental Hotels Group is seeking a Front Desk Agent to warmly welcome guests, handle check‑ins/outs, manage bookings, and provide local insights for a smooth, memorable stay.

You will build guest relationships, process transactions, and act as a brand ambassador while maintaining safety standards. Flexibility for night/weekend shifts and prior front-desk experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and guest-relations skills.
• Problem-solving with a positive attitude.
• Fluency in the local language; extra languages a plus.
• Tech-literate with basic math and computer skills.
• High school diploma; college degree a bonus.
• Experience at front desk or guest services preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and start memorable guest experiences.
• Acknowledge rewards club members and returning guests.
• Manage bookings, upsell, and share local insights.
• Handle cash and card transactions.
• Check guests in and out; issue keys; manage safety deposits.
• Record guest preferences and handle requests.
• Be a trusted contact for guests and escalate to management when needed.
• Follow safety procedures and wear protective gear.
• Assist with daily events and stays; perform ad-hoc duties.
