Job summary

IHOP is seeking a Host/Hostess to greet guests, seat them promptly, and support To-Go orders in a fast-paced setting in Castle Rock, Colorado. You will handle phone inquiries, help manage wait lists, and assist guests with special needs while ensuring a friendly, efficient dining experience.

Responsibilities include taking orders, coordinating with the kitchen, upselling when appropriate, and maintaining a clean, welcoming environment for all guests.

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a host is a plus.
• Must showcase teamwork and communication skills.
• Must be able to handle money transactions responsibly.
• Must be able to multitask and act quickly.
• Must be flexible and ready to work in shifts.
• Must be a team player.

Responsibilities

• Greeting, seating, and escorting guests.
• Open doors for guests arriving and departing.
• Accommodate guests with special needs (boosters, highchairs, disabilities).
• Process To-Go and Delivery Orders.
• Manage Wait List when the restaurant is busy.
• Provide menu recommendations and information.
• Upsell additional products when appropriate.
• Take orders using software, order slips, or by memorization.
• Communicate order details to the kitchen staff.
• Deliver food and beverages to guests in a timely fashion.
• Deliver checks and collect payments.
• Maintain restaurant appearance.
• Provide exceptional customer experience.
