Job summary

Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants in Utah is seeking a friendly Host/Hostess to welcome guests, manage reservations, and create memorable first impressions. You’ll be the face of the dining room, guiding guests to seating and coordinating with the service team.

Responsibilities include greeting guests, handling seating fairly, managing paperwork and the host stand, answering phones, booking reservations, taking room service orders if applicable, and lending a hand to servers.

Qualifications

• Previous customer service or hospitality experience preferred.
• Able to prioritize multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
• Able to learn and present menu and allergy information to guests.

Responsibilities

• Greet all restaurant guests and provide information when asked.
• Provide fair and consistent seating of guests.
• Accurately handle paperwork, stock and tidy the host stand.
• Receive incoming calls and book reservations for guests.
• Take room service orders if applicable.
• Check floor and tables for accuracy and cleanliness; assist in bussing tables.
• Help servers by refilling beverages when needed.
• Perform other restaurant and customer service related requests for guests.
• We may take on responsibilities outside of this job description as needed.
