Job summary

Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants is seeking a friendly Host/Hostess to provide information and gracious support to guests, coordinating reservations and seating for daily and nightly service while acting as an advocate for the restaurant.

You should bring prior hospitality or customer service experience, strong multitasking, and excellent communication. Learn menu details, operate the POS and reservation systems, and maintain a flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Prior customer service or hospitality experience preferred.
• Ability to multitask in a dynamic environment.
• Learn and present menu and allergy information to guests.
• Knowledge of or ability to learn the restaurant POS and reservation systems.
• Excellent interpersonal communication and passion for hospitality.
• Food Handler Certification, if applicable.
• Flexible schedule including weekends, nights and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greet restaurant guests and provide information when asked.
• Coordinate reservations and seating for daily and nightly service.
• Act as an advocate for the restaurant and create memorable guest experiences.
• Maintain readiness of host stand and assist servers as needed.
• Take on additional responsibilities as needed.
