Job summary

Homer West Inc. is seeking a friendly Host/Hostess to be the first point of contact for guests in a vibrant restaurant environment. This on-site role focuses on creating a welcoming atmosphere and guiding guests to their tables.

You will coordinate with the kitchen and server staff, answer inquiries about the menu, and maintain a clean host area. Prior restaurant experience and familiarity with POS systems are a plus.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a restaurant or food service is preferred.
• Familiarity with Aloha POS or similar systems is a plus.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage positively with guests.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and escort them to their tables.
• Coordinate with the kitchen and wait staff to fulfill guest needs.
• Answer questions about menu items, specials, and services.
• Keep the host/host area clean and organized.
• Handle guest concerns with professionalism and empathy.
• Support the restaurant team during busy periods as needed.
