Job summary

One Ocean Resort & Spa in Canton, OH is seeking a Part-time Front Desk Agent to warmly welcome guests, check them in and out, and assist with reservations. You will post charges, manage the front desk system, handle cash, and support guests with requests while upholding service standards.

This role requires a team-oriented mindset, flexibility for evenings and weekends, and strong communication in a busy hotel environment.

Qualifications

High work ethic and self-initiative.
Ability to work varying schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Team-oriented and focused on delivering great guest experiences.
Ability to work in a standard office environment.
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk (6–8 hours).
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Physical ability to lift 10–25 pounds as needed.
Proficient with keyboarding and office equipment.

Responsibilities

Greet guests and check them in/out; assist in pre-registration and blocking reservations.
Post charges promptly and accurately.
Know and use Front Office system for daily transactions.
Manage cash handling and payment processing.
Review reservations with special requests and block rooms accordingly.
Understand hotel rates, discounts, and applicable policies.
Take same-day reservations and follow cancellation/relocation procedures.
