Job summary

Grand Traverse Resort in Michigan seeks a dedicated housekeeper to maintain the public and employee areas at a 4 Diamond level. You will ensure spotless lobbies, restrooms, pools, locker rooms and common spaces while delivering exceptional guest service.

This role requires reliability, the ability to follow procedures, effective communication with housekeeping and other departments, and a strong safety mindset.

Qualifications

• Some housekeeping experience preferred.
• Knowledge of resort helpful.
• Must be at least 18 years of age, have a valid Michigan driver’s license and be insurable by the resort’s policy.

Responsibilities

• To be completely familiar with complex and outlying areas (I.E. Restrooms, Pools, Locker rooms, Clubhouse, Afternine)
• Initiate and aid in effective communication between housekeeping and all other departments using Wow, Go & Please strategy.
• Keep radio, cart and keys safe and secure at all times
• Respond immediately to all pages received
• Always follow knocking on doors procedure when entering public restrooms
• Report any unusual circumstances to your supervisor or any major stains on carpeting
• Offer all assistance possible for your guests
• Immediately report to your supervisor or the housekeeping office any damage for furniture or furnishings
• Keep public restrooms stocked and cleaned to the expectations of housekeeping management
• Maintain the locker rooms and empty dirty garbage and linens where applicable
• Dust/Mop/Vacuum all areas of the resort where needed and requested of you by your Supervisors
• Maintain lobby including furniture, windows, dust and vacuuming to create a wonderful first impression for our guest
• Complete all assignments requested of you
• Must follow proper grooming and dress standards set forth by the Employee Handbook
• Maintain open line of communication with supervisor
• Must understand and abide by environmental practices of the resort
• Other duties as assigned
