Job summary

Loews New Orleans Hotel in New Orleans is seeking a Front Office Agent to warmly greet guests, check them in/out, and create memorable first impressions. You will balance professionalism with genuine hospitality in a fast-paced environment, ensuring every guest feels valued and cared for.

The role emphasizes guest service excellence, clear communication, attention to detail, and teamwork across departments to deliver seamless experiences for guests and groups.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year guest service experience in hotel hospitality preferred.
• Experience with a Property Management System, Opera preferred.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
• Ability to work weekends, evenings, holidays as necessary/required.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register guests with warmth and professionalism, ensuring a seamless arrival experience.
• Assign rooms that meet guest preferences and special requests.
• Obtain and verify credit and payment information in accordance with hotel policies.
• Promote hotel services, amenities, and local attractions to enhance the guest experience.
• Respond to guest inquiries and resolve issues promptly and effectively.
• Maintain knowledge of upcoming events, group bookings, and banquet orders.
• Perform check-out procedures and handle cash transactions accurately.
• Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the Front Desk and lobby area.
• Handle emergencies with professionalism, prioritizing guest and team member safety.
• Regular attendance in conformance with standards.
• May be required to work varying schedules to reflect business needs.
• Required to attend all mandatory training sessions and meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
