Job summary

Soho House in Chicago is seeking a Front Desk Agent to greet members and hotel guests, process check-ins and handle concierge duties across rooms, dining, spa and facilities. The role requires strong hospitality instincts, multi-tasking, and a calm, professional demeanor in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year in a guest-facing role, excellent communication, and flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of similar role or customer service / facing role.
• Ability to multitask, handle high-volume phone lines, and respond professionally (in person).
• Familiarity with OpenTable, Salesforce, Google Sheets and Opera.

Responsibilities

• Be the primary point of contact for members, guests and staff with a warm welcome and top-notch service.
• Perform concierge duties: book cars, show tickets, restaurant and spa reservations.
• Answer emails and inquiries via digital portals and print documents for guests.
• Inform departments of hours, restrictions and workflow changes daily.
• Handle accounting inquiries: folios, disputes, billing, receipts, refunds; manage walkouts and lost cards securely.
• Discuss amenities, room types, rates and availability to upsell and enhance guest experience.
• Coordinate valet and luggage storage with bell staff or butler.
• Participate in daily shift briefings.
