Job summary

The Cliffside Inn in Newport, RI is seeking a Guest Service Associate (Temp Full Time). You will greet guests, manage reservations, and assist with concierge services to ensure memorable stays. The role requires hosting guests with warmth, handling enquiries, and supporting breakfast and front desk operations with accuracy and care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience in customer service or hospitality is preferred but not required
• Positive attitude and creative mindset
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks effectively
• Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
• Stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds
• Baking and/or cooking experience a plus

Responsibilities

• Maintain a neat and professional appearance.
• Welcome and acknowledge each guest with a smile and greeting.
• Register and orient arriving guests.
• Be knowledgeable about the property, programs, amenities, and experiences.
• Operate property phone and communication systems and record notes as needed.
• Assist guests with reservations and ground transportation directions.
• Serve as concierge, suggesting local activities and dining options.
• Resolve guest questions and concerns professionally and promptly.
• Maintain guest folios and accounts; post to and balance folios as needed.
• Assist with light housekeeping and breakfast prep duties.
