Job summary

Hampton Inn is seeking a Front Desk Agent in Hammond, LA. As a first contact, you will greet guests, check them in and out, and tailor your approach to create a home-away-from-home experience. You will read cues to provide guests with information about local attractions and hotel services.

You will maintain a clean, professional appearance, follow policies, handle transactions accurately, and support a safe, welcoming environment for guests and associates alike.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication with guests and team members.
• Proficient computer and phone usage for front desk tasks.
• Accurate handling of guest transactions and payments.
• Ability to stand, walk and lift up to 20 pounds as needed.
• Strong relationship building and sales skills.

Responsibilities

• Check guests in and out; complete daily checklists and log mail/faxes.
• Assist in blocking of reservations and handling cancellations.
• Inform guests about hotel services, directions, rates and amenities.
• Explain TDD operation to guests when required.
