Job summary

Potbelly Sandwich Works is hiring friendly, outgoing associates to deliver fast, high-quality service in a busy lunch environment. You’ll help create a welcoming, clean space and prepare a range of items while handling cash and orders with care.

Applicants should be at least 16, possess strong communication skills, and be comfortable with a bustling kitchen. Eligibility and safety certifications may apply; wage starts at $13.75–$14.25 plus digital tips.

Qualifications

• At least 16 years of age.
• Friendly, customer-first mindset for fast-paced environments.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable in a bustling kitchen; knife skills a plus.

Responsibilities

• Work multiple stations (load, dress, shakes, cash, prep, front) as directed by a Shift Leader or Manager.
• Comply with health and safety standards for food, cleanliness and safety.
• Restock food line, chips and cooler.
• Prepare finished products (sandwiches, salads, soups, cookies, ice cream) efficiently.
• If 18 or older, use the automatic slicer to prep items.
• Clean tables, counters, floors, bathrooms, kitchen and utensils; take out trash.
• Operate cash register and balance cash handling procedures.
• Handle customer complaints/issues effectively.
• Take delivery/catering/pickup orders over the phone.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
