Job summary

Potbelly Sandwich Works is hiring friendly Team Members to deliver fast, friendly service in a bustling shop. You will help open the store, prep food, and serve customers in a high-energy environment, with shifts from 8am–4pm.

We value teamwork, a customer-first mindset, and the ability to handle allergens safely. Compensation includes tips in addition to base pay, plus benefits and growth opportunities within a nationwide network of Potbelly locations.

Qualifications

• Applicant must be at least 16 years old and provide friendly, customer-first service.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are expected.
• Comfortable in a bustling kitchen environment; knife skills are a plus.
• Able to manage common allergens (peanuts, dairy, gluten, etc.).
• Team player with flexibility to stand and move for several hours.

Responsibilities

• Operate multiple stations (load, dress, shakes, cash, prep, front) as directed by a Shift Leader or Manager.
• Follow health and safety standards for food, cleanliness and safety.
• Restock food line, chips and cooler.
• Prepare quality finished products (sandwiches, salads, soups, cookies, ice cream) efficiently.
• If 18+, operate the slicer to prep items.
• Clean tables, counters, floors, bathrooms, kitchen and utensils; take out trash.
• Handle cash at the register and balance tills per procedures.
• Address customer concerns promptly and professionally.
• Take delivery/catering/pickup orders over the phone.
• Other duties as assigned.
