Job summary

Potbelly Sandwich Works is hiring friendly, outgoing associates to join a fast-paced, customer-focused team. Earn between $15.25 and $15.75 per hour plus digital tips in a welcoming environment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Customer-first mindset for fast-paced environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable in bustling kitchen; knife skills a plus.
• Must manage allergens (peanuts, dairy, gluten, soy, seafood, shellfish).
• Team player; able to stand/walk 3+ hours; lift up to 50 pounds.
• Illinois applicants must be food safety certified within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Operate multiple stations as directed by a Shift Leader or Manager.
• Follow health and safety standards for food, cleanliness and safety.
• Restock food line, chips and cooler.
• Prepare sandwiches, salads, soups, cookies, and desserts efficiently.
• Use slicer for items if 18+ (where applicable).
• Clean tables, counters, floors, bathrooms, utensils; dispose waste.
• Handle cash transactions and balance cash drawer.
• Address customer complaints and process orders (delivery/catering/pickup).
• Other duties as assigned
