Job summary

Sonesta International Hotels is hiring a Guest Services Agent in San Diego. You will be the first point of contact, checking guests in/out, answering inquiries, handling cash transactions, and assisting with reservations while maintaining Sonesta's service standards.

The role requires a high school diploma, 1 year in hospitality or retail, and fluent English. Weekend/evening shifts are expected; opportunities for growth and access to Sonesta benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of previous hotel experience or retail customer service preferred.
• Must speak/read/write fluent English; additional languages beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Register guests, issue room keys, and provide information on hotel services and room locations.
• Answer phones in a prompt and courteous manner.
• Process cash and credit card transactions accurately and in accordance with procedures.
• Upsell rooms to maximize revenue when possible.
• Book guest reservations for individuals or groups; handle cancellations and updates.
• Follow seasonal reservation strategy for room types and pricing.
• Promote teamwork with other shifts and departments.
• Ensure guest requests are fulfilled and service delivered.
