Highgate Hotels is seeking a Front Office Agent for Hyatt House Las Colinas in Irving, TX. You will deliver attentive service during check-in, stay, and checkout while maximizing occupancy and guest satisfaction.

The position requires a high school diploma (college coursework helpful) and computer experience. Prior hotel customer service is preferred; strong communication, multitasking, and attendance are essential qualities.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• College coursework in related field helpful.
• Experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
• Computer experience is required.
• Customer services experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answer inquiries from guests regarding restaurants, transportation, entertainment, etc.
• Follow all cash handling and credit policies.
• Be aware of all rates, packages and special promotions as listed in the Red Book.
• Be familiar with all in-house groups.
• Be aware of closed out and restricted dates.
• Obtain information when taking room reservations and quote rates accordingly.
• Be familiar with hospitality terminology.
• Know emergency procedures and assist as needed.
• Handle check-ins and checkouts in a friendly, efficient manner.
• Use proper two-way radio etiquette with staff.
• Operate Front Desk computer system effectively.
• Complete shift tasks and duties on time.
• Complete bucket checks, rate verification, and housekeeping reports.
• Balance and prepare closing paperwork per hotel standards.
• Maintain and market promotions and guest programs.
• Keep a clean work area and assist guests with safe deposit boxes.
