Job summary

Renaissance Minneapolis Bloomington Hotel is seeking a friendly Front Desk Agent to welcome guests, manage check-ins/outs, and support a seamless stay. You’ll be the first and last impression, greet Marriott Bonvoy members, handle reservations, and coordinate with housekeeping and other teams.

Flexible schedule required, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays; pay is $17.50 per hour, based on experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of customer service or guest-facing experience.
• Previous hotel front desk experience preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• A positive, team-oriented attitude with a passion for delivering exceptional hospitality.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable using computers, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Previous experience with hotel property management systems, particularly Marriott FSPMS, is a plus.
• Ability to handle guest concerns professionally and confidently.

Responsibilities

• Create a warm, welcoming first impression by greeting guests with genuine hospitality and professionalism.
• Efficiently manage guest check-ins, check-outs, room assignments, and payment transactions.
• Recognize Marriott Bonvoy members and deliver personalized service that celebrates their loyalty.
• Anticipate guest needs and identify opportunities to create memorable experiences.
• Respond promptly and professionally to guest inquiries, requests, and concerns.
• Take ownership of guest issues, using effective service recovery techniques to turn challenges into positive experiences.
• Answer incoming calls, manage reservations, and communicate important information accurately.
• Collaborate with Housekeeping, Engineering, Food & Beverage, and other departments to ensure seamless guest service.
• Maintain accurate guest records, shift reports, and front desk documentation.
• Promote hotel amenities, local attractions, and Marriott Bonvoy membership opportunities.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional front desk environment.
• Balance multiple priorities while remaining calm, friendly, and attentive during busy periods.
