Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years in public contact, preferably upscale lifestyle hotel.
• Able to multitask, work in a fast-paced environment and have a high level attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Stand or walk a minimum eight-hour shift.
• We recognize we are in the hospitality industry and that may require us to provide lateral service.

Responsibilities

• Greet arriving guests and retrieve their luggage.
• Escort guests to their rooms, explain the room facilities, and sell the hotel’s outlets (restaurant, bar, spa).
• Deliver luggage, messages, faxes, packages etc. and undertake various other requests to ensure guest comfort.
• Transport departing guests’ luggage from the room to the lobby and verify luggage accountability.
• Ensure luggage storage area is kept clean and tidy at all times.
• Inform guests with savvy knowledge of hotel, its services, the city, and local happenings.
• Be fully aware of hotel functions and provide gracious, attentive, and friendly service.
• Any other reasonable duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.
