Job summary

Cengage Group is seeking a Business Product Owner to lead GTM strategy, design, and analytics that power our global sales organization. You will own the GTM roadmap, drive cross-functional execution, and champion scalable automation to improve lead quality, accelerate sales cycles, and grow revenue.

You will manage Salesforce and Gong, partner with technical teams, and design end-to-end sales processes with strong data governance. A proven track record in CRM and GTM tools is essential.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Business Product Ownership or related roles.
• Deep experience with Salesforce and GTM tools such as Gong.
• Proven track record delivering product roadmaps in GTM or CRM.
• Understanding end-to-end sales processes from lead to renewal.
• Experience building Salesforce reports and dashboards.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate current sales tools and improve Salesforce effectiveness across regions.
• Own GTM systems (Salesforce, Gong) and partner with technical teams.
• Lead optimization of GTM tech stack, automation, and data governance.
• Stay ahead of trends in Salesforce and productivity tools to boost funnel conversion.
• Design end-to-end sales processes from lead to renewal; improve conversion.
• Establish and manage data, analytics, and governance framework.
• Define, track, and report funnel and sales performance metrics.
• Ensure data accuracy and visibility across systems.
• Oversee CRM governance, audits, enhancements, and data standards.
• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing Ops, Revenue Ops for alignment.
• Deliver actionable insights and tools with global sales leadership.
• Drive cross-functional execution through reviews and roadmaps.
• Continuously adopt best practices and emerging GTM technologies.
