Job summary

OpenAI is seeking a senior data professional to join the Go-to-Market Data team. This full-stack data role spans modeling, metrics, visualization, analysis, and self-service tooling to deliver trusted, scalable data products.

You will partner with GTM teams, define metrics, build pipelines, dashboards, and production data products, and guide data strategy for new domains. You will convert complex data into clear narratives and enable decision-making across the business.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in a data role within fast-moving orgs.
• Independently structure and own ambiguous, high-impact problems.
• Autonomous, resourceful, and creative under constraints.
• Strong judgment on prioritization and investment in data products.
• Deep SQL expertise and experience with large datasets and ETL workflows.
• Proficient in Python and quantitative programming.
• Experience with BI tools and enabling self-service analytics.
• Knowledge of React/Streamlit/Plotly Dash for visuals.

Responsibilities

• Partner with GTM teams to translate business needs into data models and scalable solutions.
• Define, source, validate, and operationalize metrics guiding the business.
• Lead cross-functional data projects and set data strategy for new domains.
• Build scalable data models and pipelines from multiple sources.
• Create dashboards, reports, and analytics tools for independent decision-making.
• Oversee lifecycle of metrics and data products from exploration to production.
