Job summary

OpenAI is seeking an Applied Data Science & Insights Lead for GTM Intelligence Solutions and Technical Success in San Francisco. You will build AI/ML-powered intelligence products connecting account health, product usage, and field actions into a practical operating system for GTM and Technical Success.

You will define metrics, models, and decision systems to scale adoption and expansion, while leading a small team and setting high technical standards for rigor and impact.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of applied data science or analytics experience.
• Deep SQL and Python skills; production-quality models.
• Experience with causal inference and customer segmentation.
• Experience leading teams and mentoring.
• Advanced degree in quantitative field.

Responsibilities

• Define and lead the roadmap for GTM Intelligence and Technical Success insight products.
• Build data science foundation including core metrics and intervention measurement.
• Develop propensity score models for product adoption and interventions.
• Lead a small team of data scientists and analytics partners.
• Set technical standards for modeling, experiments, and production readiness.
• Create team operating rhythms balancing field needs with durable roadmap execution.
• Build predictive and causal models for health, expansion, churn, and adoption.
• Design next-best-action systems that identify opportunities and recommend playbooks.
