Job summary

New York Life Insurance Co is hiring a GSOC Analyst in New York, NY to monitor security events 24/7. You will act as a front-line responder, coordinating incident notifications and updates for employees, facilities, and leadership.

Responsibilities include monitoring physical security systems, supporting crisis management, and documenting actions in the case-management system. A 24/7 schedule is required, with shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, intelligence studies, emergency management, or homeland security, or equivalent experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication for incident briefings and updates.
• Ability to assess evolving information and exercise sound judgment.
• Familiarity with incident-management frameworks and escalation procedures.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and related platforms.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Monitor inbound alerts from intelligence sources and external events that may affect employees, facilities, or operations.
• Disseminate timely incident notifications and briefings to stakeholders.
• Monitor video, access-control, and intrusion-detection systems for alarms and suspicious activity.
• Coordinate site response and elevate incidents affecting safety or operations.
• Serve as primary intake for employee safety and facilities-related calls.
• Support crisis-management responses with timely updates to teams and leadership.
• Document incidents and follow-up actions in the case-management system.
