Job summary

Tailscale is expanding its Product Growth team and seeks a designer to accelerate activation, onboarding, monetization, and user expansion. You will join a cross-functional group, delivering MV solutions, testing hypotheses, and maintaining a high craft bar while learning from experiments.

You’ll work closely with product, research, and engineering to drive measured improvements and report to the Product Design Manager in a remote-first, distributed setup.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years in product design, focused on onboarding, activation, monetization or growth.
• Experience with growth tooling and experimentation (A/B testing, analytics).
• Proven ability to work in distributed async environments and balance speed with quality.

Responsibilities

• Draft and propose product changes to move growth metrics.
• Participate in experimentation lifecycle; learn from research and iterate based on feedback.
• Contribute ideas to a backlog to reduce friction and influence user behavior via interaction design and prototyping.
• Advocate for user needs; ensure changes align with business goals and high craft standards.
• Collaborate with PM, researcher, designer, and engineers to define problems and measure impact.
