Ocean State Job Lot in Holyoke, MA is seeking a Store Area Supervisor to oversee daily operations and merchandising of assigned areas, ensure smooth freight flow, and deliver exceptional customer experiences under the guidance of a Team Leader.

You will help schedule work, supervise and train associates, manage merchandise presentation, pricing accuracy, and safety standards while supporting growth toward leadership roles.

Qualifications

• 1+ years professional experience in retail environments.
• Experience in customer service, training, and merchandise ordering/receiving/stocking is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations and merchandising of assigned areas.
• Ensure smooth freight flow and prioritize exceptional customer experiences under guidance of Team Leader.
• Develop effective work schedules and provide guidance to your team for task completion.
• Manage training for store associates and foster growth toward leadership positions.
• Maintain merchandise presentation, ensure accurate signage, stock management, and proper backroom controls.
• Verify pricing accuracy of shipments, report discrepancies, and perform daily manifest checks.
• Uphold store safety and maintenance standards; assist with opening/closing procedures when designated.
