Job summary

OUCU Financial Group is seeking a Commercial Lending professional to develop and maintain relationships with business members and prospective borrowers in Ohio. The role involves identifying lending opportunities, analyzing financials, and originating loans while representing the credit union in the local business community.

The position requires 3–5 years in lending, a bachelor’s degree, and willingness to travel for meetings and events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience.
• 3–5 years of lending experience in a financial institution, with commercial lending strongly preferred.
• Experience in financial product sales with knowledge of laws and regulations governing business and consumer lending practices.
• Clear communication, sound judgement, with a member-first approach.
• Must travel to meet members and occasionally attend events outside of regular business hours.
• Resume and cover letter required.

Responsibilities

• Develop relationships with business members and prospective borrowers.
• Identify commercial lending opportunities and explain loan options.
• Review financial documents and assess applicant’s financial status for loan feasibility.
• Originating business loans and recommending other OUCU services.
• Conduct site visits to gather information and maintain member relationships.
• Represent OUCU Financial in the local business community and at networking events.
