Job summary

OUCU Financial is seeking a relationship-focused Commercial Lender to help local businesses grow. You will build lasting relationships with business members, assess lending opportunities, and recommend financing solutions that support both their goals and the credit union’s growth.

Responsibilities include originating business loans, site visits, and representing OUCU Financial at networking events, with a base pay starting around $61,318 plus commission.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience.
• 3–5 years of financial institution lending experience, with commercial lending preferred.
• Experience in financial product sales with knowledge of laws and regulations governing business and consumer lending practices.
• Clear communication, sound judgement, with a member-first approach.
• Must travel to meet members and occasionally attend events outside of regular business hours.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with business members and prospective borrowers.
• Identify commercial lending opportunities and explain suitable loan options.
• Collect and review financial documents and analyze applicant’s financial status to assess feasibility of loans.
• Originate business loans and recommend other beneficial Credit Union services.
• Conduct site visits to gather information and maintain member relationships.
• Represent OUCU Financial in the local business community and at networking events.
