Job summary

SecureSpace Self Storage is seeking an energetic Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager and leadership team in achieving store goals, driving sales, and maintaining excellent customer service. The role requires collaboration with staff, daily inspections, and occasional travel to nearby locations.

A strong customer-service mindset and MS Word/Excel proficiency are essential. We offer internal growth, weekend/holiday scheduling flexibility, and a competitive compensation package

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year in storage, retail, or hospitality.
• Strong English language skills for verbal and written communication.
• Provides consistent support to Store Manager; acts as backup.
• Customer service mindset.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Identifies maintenance, safety, and fire issues.
• Willing to travel to nearby locations for shifts.
• Skilled in resolving conflicts and addressing issues promptly.

Responsibilities

• Support the team to exceed sales targets by promoting unit rentals, warranties, and moving supplies.
• Guide customers through the rental process for smooth transactions.
• Assist contacting potential clients to confirm moving dates and unit readiness.
• Manage past-due tenant accounts and lien/auction paperwork.
• Contribute to exceptional customer service and address needs effectively.
• Conduct daily property inspections to maintain security and cleanliness.
• Perform light gardening and maintenance tasks as needed.
• Communicate updates and recommendations to the Store Manager and leadership.
• Occasionally travel to nearby locations for scheduled shifts.
• Maintain flexibility for weekend and holiday work when required.
