Job summary

SecureSpace Management LLC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager and regional leadership. The role focuses on driving unit rentals, promoting warranties and moving supplies, and delivering exceptional customer service at a busy self-storage facility.

You will help manage scheduling, oversee daily operations, and coordinate with teams while maintaining security, cleanliness, and a positive customer experience across shifts.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year in storage, retail, or hospitality.
• Strong English language skills, verbal and written.
• Supports Store Manager and acts as backup.
• Must have a customer service mindset.
• Proficient with Word and Excel.
• Identifies maintenance, safety, and fire issues.
• Operates roll-up doors; occasional travel to nearby location.
• Skilled in resolving conflicts quickly.

Responsibilities

• Help surpass sales targets by promoting unit rentals, warranties, and moving supplies.
• Guide new customers through the rental process for smooth transactions.
• Reach out to clients to confirm moving dates and unit readiness.
• Assist in lien/auction paperwork and past-due tenant accounts.
• Provide exceptional customer service and address client needs.
• Conduct daily property inspections for security and upkeep, including lights, locks, and cleanliness.
• Perform light gardening and general maintenance tasks.
• Utilize power tools for maintenance and grounds work.
• Communicate updates and results to Store Manager and Leadership Team.
• Occasionally travel to other locations for scheduled shifts.
• Be available for weekend and holiday work as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
