Job summary

SecureSpace Management LLC in Los Angeles, CA is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager, drive sales, manage vendor relationships, and ensure a positive customer experience across our self-storage locations.

You'll help schedule shifts, supervise staff, conduct property inspections, and coordinate with leadership to meet occupancy and service goals. Weekend availability and travel to nearby stores may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in storage, retail, or hospitality.
• Excellent English written and verbal communication.
• Ability to back up Store Manager and supervise staff.
• Customer service mindset.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Will travel occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Supports the team in surpassing sales targets by promoting unit rentals, warranties, and moving supplies, and encouraging positive reviews.
• Guides new customers through the rental process for smooth transactions.
• Assists in reaching out to potential clients to confirm moving dates and ensure units are ready and secure.
• Aids in managing accounts of past-due tenants and supports lien/auction paperwork.
• Contributes to providing exceptional customer service and addressing client needs.
• Conducts daily property inspections to maintain security, cleanliness, and upkeep; performs light maintenance and gardening.
• Communicates updates and recommendations to Store Manager and Leadership Team.
• Occasionally travels to other locations to assist with shifts and weekend/holiday coverage.
