Job summary

Company – A major player in the casting and machining industry is seeking an Inside Sales Engineer to join a team of 12. You will become an expert in your clients’ business to tailor solutions and drive sales, with excellent training and growth opportunities.

Responsibilities include developing quotes and proposals, managing accounts, coordinating with field and territory sales, and guiding projects through the sales cycle. Limited travel is required.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Mechanical, Materials or Industrial Engineering with proven customer-facing experience.
• 2+ years in a technically oriented role, preferably casting, machining, metal or materials process operation.
• Demonstrated passion to grow career and interface with customers and team members.
• Strong written and verbal communication; comfortable calling clients.
• Experience with job shop or foundry environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop quotes and proposals for customer parts.
• Act as account manager to grow sales and meet client needs.
• Collaborate with field and territory sales to expand business; 75% existing clients, 20% upsell, 5% new business.
• Manage projects through the sales cycle and coordinate with all company departments.
• Limited travel, about once per quarter on average.
