Job summary

Company – A major player in the casting and machining industry seeks an Inside Sales Engineer to join a 12-person team. You will develop quotes, manage accounts, and drive growth across aerospace, defense, petrochemical and industrial equipment markets.

2+ years in a technical, customer-facing role is required; BS in Mechanical, Materials or Industrial Engineering preferred. Excellent benefits and a strong growth culture are offered.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Mechanical, Materials or Industrial Engineering and a solid track record of customer facing work experience.
• 2+ years of experience in a technically oriented role, preferably casting, machining, metal or materials process operation.
• Must have a passion to grow your career and interface with customers and team members.
• Good communication, verbal and written, and computer skills.
• Job shop experience would be a plus.
• Any foundry experience would be a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop quotes and generate proposals for the parts the customer wants
• Be an account manager for your customers to increase sales and serve their needs and get them answers to their questions
• Work in conjunction with field sales and territory sales to increase sales and grow the business. 75% of the work is existing clients, 20% is seeking new business from existing clients and 5% is new business development
• Much of the work is done on a project basis and you will see it through the entire sales cycle
• Interface will all departments and levels within the company to effectively accomplish your work
• Limited travel, once per quarter on average
