Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service and team development. You’ll assist with daily store activities, help customers, and ensure merchandise is well-organized on the sales floor and in stockrooms.

The role requires strong communication, problem-solving and leadership skills within a high-energy retail environment. Health and safety standards will be maintained, with a focus on employee development and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and problem-solving skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Maintain store areas, stockroom, and ensure seasonal areas are well-presented and organized.
• Perform opening and closing procedures and handle basic cash handling duties.
• Help supervise and develop Store Associates and maintain a safe, friendly environment.
