Job summary

Valcourt is seeking a Business Development Manager in Morgan Hill, CA to build a portfolio of target customers and educate them about our waterproofing and construction services. This foundation-building role focuses on engaging owners, property managers, and engineers to differentiate the company in the market.

You will coordinate with the estimating team to prepare proposals, manage prospect pipelines, and represent Valcourt at events and conferences.

• Proven skills in account development, qualification, pre-call planning and time management.

• Flexible to travel to regional training courses and events.
• High level of organization and time management.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.

• Action oriented with winning more bids the goal.
• Strong MS Office, CRM, PPT and quotation/presentation prep skills.
• Basic familiarity with drawings and job specs, and ability to visit job sites and gather details to prepare estimates.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop strategic relationships with partners and potential customers.
• Develop a strong pipeline of new customers and projects through outreach.
• Plan and attend events, tradeshows, webinars, presentations and conferences.
• Generate business through outbound lead activity and research for new prospects.
• Qualify inbound leads and prioritize opportunities for the sales cycle.
• Maintain understanding of the company’s broad range of service offerings.
• Articulate differentiators and value propositions to prospects and existing customers.
• Nurture prospects through in-person communication and CRM tracking.
• Establish rapport and build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
• Represent the company at networking functions.
• Manage daily/weekly KPI reports for sales activity and pipeline.
• Prepare proposals and present project documentation for review and negotiation.
• Travel to job sites to obtain details for estimating when needed.
